Sentosa Sunday and Holland V Saturday
Instead of staying home and being boring, we decided to go to Sentosa today! (finally) It’s quite easy to get there: we take one bus to Vivo City, then we take a monorail from the mall to Sentosa, which only costs $3 round-trip. Foodventures
I had fish head curry and I ate the eye! It sounds kind of like a rite of passage but really it was not very exciting tasting- just bland and gelatinous. The curry was great though, and the most prized part of the fish head- the cheek- was soft and mild. Pictures to come.
I’m really sad that my stint at the Yellow Octopus is over; everyone was really nice and we had some great meals....

Lantern Festival
Tonight we went to a Lantern Festival in the park behind our condo. I knew the park was there but I had never been into it- it’s beautiful! There is a pond, and lots of nice paths and benches and different trails. The pond has monitor lizards, I hope I get to see them! Last night I was up all night feeling nauseous and feeling my heart beat way too rapidly. At six am I felt like I was dying again so we went back to the hospital. Turns out 24 hour clinic doesn’t mean all services are available at the same price for 24 hours, so I had to sit for an hour in the waiting room but I was first in line. So after trying to ride out what I thought was a stomach bug, I felt like my body was falling apart and I finally went to the doctor. I probably have food poisoning and now I have a have a cocktail of drugs to take. So my fever is down but I still feel like my stomach is full of angry fish. UGH.

So in the middle of the day today I fell ill…. it SUCKS. Fever and exhaustion ‘n stuff. But I ate some soup so I feel a little better. Earlier we ran some errands and got a few groceries and things from Ikea. Interesting tidbits:

Bus ride
